The Cuchy Frito Crew has been working on this one for a minute. Inspired by Mexican Wrestling (Lucha Libre), we have put together a backbreaker for 2011. The mix features a ton of mash-ups, cumbia, salsa, classic hip hop, and raps from some of our friends such as Anansé (NYC), Zalama Crew (Cali, Colombia), and Alianza Meka (Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic). Big thanks to everyone that contributed and to you for listening!

The Gringo Estar version of the CUCHY FRITO - CUCHY LIBRE MIX that got thrown out of the ring and the mix. "Cuchy Libre" was basically play whatever the f*ck you want unless it sounds like this. This snippet was to be combined like Voltron with snippets from DJ Animao and DJ Ill Equipt. This mix went the route of the purple lion-left out. Regardless, it was fun exploring the Dark Side of Gringo Estar so enjoy the unheard dubstep mixed with reggae, dancehall, hip hop, pop, dominican hip hop, even some Britany Spears and Katy Perry that may just be your cup of mushroom tea mixed with ???.

This mix snippet is the inaugural release OF DJ CONSHUS alternate personality GRINGO ESTAR of the CUCHY FRITO CREW. Since this mix was never released to the public, the GRINGO ESTAR in me says, enjoy. Keep an eye out for future GRINGO ESTAR mixes that you may or may not ever have a chance to hear.

One Love,

DJ Conshus Meets DJ Nomadic

Damn! We did this shit back in I don't know...whenever 9-11 happened, like 2001 or something. It was my first hip hop mix ever recorded and Nomadic's first mix ever recorded (that fool taught me to dejay, by the way). We were still fucking around at Cal procrastinating graduating, mixing at his crib cleverly disguised as the neighborhood crackhouse, not like thats important or anything. Anyways, Nomadic was in Benny B's Record pool so he had his shit. I used to pick up shitty 50 and 25 cent 12 inches at Lazy Eddies on Telegraph in Berkeley (also known as Rasputin's Record Landfill for those who remember)and still had the free shit I used to get while I had the show at KDVS. A match made in heaven - DJ Conshus, DJ Nomadic, Shitty Underground Vinyl, Dope Underground Vinyl, an old ass eMachine PC, Protools' illegitimate father Cakewalk, and some Yurp back in the Day back in the Bay. We named this shit BayRoot. I can't remember if that was the album name or going to be our group name but I just knew I liked the name. From Conshus to Soundproof to BayRoot, I was on a roll. All I can tell you is that maybe 3 motherfuckers have heard this shit today besides whoever peeps this online right now. I hope you enjoy the intimate flashback to the Bay Roots of DJ Conshus
